Job Title: Waste Truck / Water Tanker Driver

Location: Apapa, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Waste Truck / Water tanker Driver to operate our waste collection vehicles and ensure the efficient and timely collection of waste materials / water.
• The Waste Truck/ water tanker Driver will be responsible for driving assigned routes, collecting waste / water from designated locations, and transporting it to appropriate places while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities
Vehicle Operation:

• Operate waste collection / water tanker vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and all mechanical components.
• Ensure the vehicle is clean and in good working condition. Report any maintenance issues or mechanical problems to the supervisor promptly.

Waste Collection:

• Follow assigned routes and schedules for waste collection.
• Operate hydraulic lift systems and other equipment to lift and empty waste bins into the truck.
• Ensure proper disposal of waste materials at designated disposal sites.

Safety and Compliance:

• Adhere to all traffic laws, road regulations, and company safety policies.
• Operate the vehicle and equipment in a safe manner to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves, safety vests, and protective footwear.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess an NCE / OND or SSCE / GCE / NECO
• Valid Driver's License, with the appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle being operated.
• Proven experience operating heavy vehicles.
• Ability to operate hydraulic systems and other waste collection equipment.
• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary Range
N100,000 per month.
