Job Description
The Dispatch Specialist at Engie Energy Access Nigeria is expected to help the Company manage the timely dispatch of inventory from the central warehouse to Service Centers across the Country.
It involves being on your feet for long periods and can sometimes involve lifting and moving Engie Energy Access products. In this role, you should have an analytical mind. Problem-solving skills and attention to detail are also essential.
Key Responsibilities
Work with the Operations Manager to create and implement an effective inventory dispatch process for Engie Energy Access Nigeria
Negotiate dispatch related cost with third-party logistics partners
Manage relationships with third-party logistics partners
Deliverables and Activities
Ensure marketing materials, Engie Energy Access Power products and all other inventory are dispatched on time, using specialist transport and in accordance with quality requirements
Ensure hired vehicles and drivers comply with legal requirements
Perform quality control of incoming and outgoing inventory items
Use logistical software to coordinate both incoming and outgoing shipments
Use organization and prioritization skills to delegate tasks to other dispatch workers on a daily basis
Requirements
Candidates should possess a minimum of Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years experience
Diploma or Degree in a relevant field from a recognized University is a plus
Strong communication - ability to communicate with others to ensure job ownership
Understanding of the importance of teamwork
Special attention to detail
Professional demeanour and work ethic
Hand-eye coordination is needed for the assembly of small parts
Experience with assembly-line production of very small and large items
Computer skills - basic proficiency with email programs and in Excel, Google Sheets, etc.
