We are currently seeking a high-performing Investment Banking Associate (Capital Markets) to join our dynamic team and play a central role in our capital raising, public offering, and private placement activities.
The Investment Banking Associate (Capital Markets) will support the structuring, execution, and distribution of capital markets transactions, including Initial Public Offerings (IPOs), private placements, public offerings, and bond issuances.
This role requires a deep understanding of capital markets, financial modelling, regulatory compliance, and investor engagement.
Transaction Execution:
Support the end-to-end execution of IPOs, private placements, and public offerings.
Coordinate with legal, regulatory, and financial advisors during transaction structuring and execution.
Prepare investor presentations, pitch decks, prospectuses, and offering memoranda.
Capital Markets Strategy:
Assist in developing and implementing capital raising strategies aligned with the firm’s growth and investment goals.
Analyse market trends, pricing dynamics, and investor appetite to inform decision-making.
Identify and evaluate new capital market opportunities and funding instruments.
Regulatory Compliance:
Liaise with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX), and other relevant bodies to ensure full regulatory compliance.
Ensure all offering documents meet required legal, regulatory, and investor standards.
Financial Analysis & Modelling:
Build and maintain complex financial models to support valuations and transaction structuring.
Conduct scenario analysis and stress testing on investment structures.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Support relationship management with institutional investors, DFIs, investment banks, and underwriters.
Organise roadshows, investor briefings, and deal marketing campaigns.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree or CFA a plus).
Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in investment banking, capital markets, corporate finance, or financial advisory.
Proven experience in executing capital markets transactions in Nigeria or similar markets.
Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills.
In-depth knowledge of SEC and NGX regulations, including IPO and private placement processes.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
Experience working with Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), private equity, or impact funds.
Familiarity with PPP structuring, infrastructure finance, or fund formation.
Strong relationship management and investor relations capabilities.
