We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Civil / Structural Engineer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Use software programs to design structural plans, drawings, modelling and rendering and ensure the structure integrity
• Regular visit to construction sites to monitor the building process and site inspection.
• Design and supervise infrastructure projects.
• Analyze local and environmental impacts and ensure completion within set time and budget
• Consider environmental hazards and ensure safety on site and building structures.
• Ensure materials, equipment and labour cost are within the set budget
• Forecast on design and construction timeline
• Prepare all necessary permit to the appropriate agencies and ensure project compliance throughout the construction stages
• Oversee soil testing to establish soil strength and building feasibility
• Manage repairs and maintenance of projects
• Carry out technical and feasibility studies
• Prepare blueprints according to technical specifications
• Assess potential risks, suitability of materials and labour costs
• Oversee and collaborate with relevant workers - Architects, Engineers, Contractors, Artisans
• Oversee assigned projects execution till completion.
• Monitor and prepare a progress report on projects
• Manage budget and purchase equipment/materials
• Promptly address structural concerns or escalate it as soon as necessary.
• Prepare progress reports on the assigned projects

Qualifications / Experience

• B.Eng or Master's in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineer, Building Technology with a minimum of 10 years of strong working experience as a Civil/Structural Engineer.

Core Skills:

• Strong Project Management Skills and Tools
• Excellent knowledge of design and visualisation software such as AutoCAD, Sketchup, Advanced Microsoft Office skills, Microsoft Projects, Knowledge of quality assurance and compliance
• Ability to work on multiple projects
• Decision-making ability, and supervision and leadership skills
• Excellent Communication skills
• Time management and organisation skills
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in site layout, grading, design.

Salary
N400,000 - N450,000 Monthly.
