We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Electrical Engineer (Boiler Systems)

Location: Alimosho, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive electrical maintenance on boiler control systems, motors, switchgear, and other electrical components to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults in boiler operations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Design, review, and upgrade electrical systems and controls for boilers, revamp/retrofit projects, and energy recovery systems.
• Monitor and calibrate sensors, instrumentation, PLCs, and automation systems associated with boiler operations.
• Develop and implement electrical maintenance schedules, inspection checklists, and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with mechanical, instrumentation, and project teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of boiler systems.
• Ensure compliance with relevant electrical safety codes, standards (e.g., NEC, IEC), and environmental regulations.
• Prepare and maintain electrical documentation, including wiring diagrams, circuit layouts, and maintenance reports.
• Support the commissioning and start-up of new or upgraded electrical systems, ensuring alignment with project specifications and safety requirements.
• Evaluate the performance of electrical components and systems, recommending upgrades for energy efficiency and operational effectiveness.
• Assist in planning for spare parts procurement and maintaining inventory for critical electrical components.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies, industry best practices, and regulatory updates relevant to boiler electrical systems.

Educational Qualification

• B.E./ B.Tech in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.

Experience:

• 2 - 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with hands-on exposure to industrial boilers, automation, and control systems.

Leadership Competencies:

• Strong project ownership and timely execution mindset.
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional technical teams and align on project goals.
• Strategic thinking with a customer-focused and safety-first approach.

Technical Competencies:

• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems in industrial boiler operations, including MCCs, VFDs, relays, and protection systems.
• Experience with PLC/SCADA programming and electrical troubleshooting tools.
• Familiarity with standards such as IEC, IEEE, NEC, and relevant local codes.
• Understanding of energy efficiency principles and electrical safety regulations.
