We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Front Office Manager

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Overview

  • We are looking for a responsible Front office manager who will be acting as our company's ‘face’ to oversee the daily front desk operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service for guests and visitors. 
  • Your duties will also include coordination of all front desk activities. 
  • You’ll be responsible for managing staff, handling inquiries, resolving complaints, and coordinating with other departments to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • This role also involves maintaining the front desk area, managing reservations, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • You should possess a pleasant personality together with a dynamic professional attitude to supervise and lead our team. 
  • You should also be able to deal efficiently with complaints and have a solid customer service approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and evaluate front desk staff, ensuring they provide excellent customer service.
  • Handle guest check-ins, check-outs, and reservations, addressing inquiries and resolving complaints.
  • Oversee daily front desk activities, including answering phones, managing mail, and ensuring a tidy and organized reception area.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., housekeeping, maintenance) to ensure seamless guest experiences.
  • Monitor front office transactions, reconcile accounts, and prepare financial reports.
  • Ensure adherence to hotel/office policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of guest interactions, payments, and other relevant information.
  • Manage staff schedules and assign tasks effectively.
  • Monitor and maintain adequate supplies for the front desk.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience of working on a Front Desk Manager or Reception Manager position.
  • Profound experience in customer service٫ office management and basic bookkeeping procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Positive attitude, excellent work ethic, and ability to adapt to change
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Good experience with office machines (such as fax machines and printers).
  • Good practical knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word٫ and proficiency in English (oral and written).
  • Additional certification will be a bonus.
