We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Accountant

Locations: Lagos and Ondo
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support business planning and decision-making.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures and revenue maximization.
• Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and the timely filing of tax returns.
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
• Coordinate and prepare for internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
• Develop, implement, and monitor financial policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Communicate financial information clearly and effectively to stakeholders, including management, investors, and regulatory bodies.
• Support internal and external audits, ensure proper documentation, and compliance with financial regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial data.
• Support senior management with financial forecasting and budgeting.
• Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, providing leadership and development opportunities.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
• Professional certification (ACCA, ICAN, CPA) is required.
• Strong knowledge of accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, etc.) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus.
