Job Description
As the Managing Director of Sproxil Nigeria Limited, you will be responsible for all corporate relationships including customers, vendors, regulators, Board of Directors and shareholders.
will be accountable for the execution of the company's approved growth strategy that you develop for approval by the Board of Directors.
You will oversee Sproxil Nigeria's staff and report to the Sproxil Nigeria Board of Directors and the Group CEO. Your duties will include but may not be limited to all the activities below:
Leadership and Financial Management:
Accountable for the overall corporate strategy execution, budget, and delivery of business and financial targets
In collaboration with the management team, and in particular the Director of Finance, the Managing Director will develop an annual budget prepared in the context of the company's strategic plan for recommendation to the Board of Directors
Ensure the efficient utilization of financial resources within established policies of the company, making appropriate and timely financial and management decisions
Provide strong and effective executive leadership to the management team
Responsible for the acquisition and most effective allocation of the organization's fiscal and physical resources, and attracting the most capable professionals to join the Sproxil team
Corporate and Brand Development:
Ensure the effective communication of the company's strategies, objectives, and performances to create a positive company profile
Develop and maintain an effective and innovative organizational structure that will drive the achievement of the company's performance objectives
Prescribe staff authority, delegate responsibilities to the management team, and develop an annual list of performance objectives
Establish a risk management framework and use it to identify and address emerging issues that impact the future direction of the company
Business Development & Relationship Management:
Keep abreast of the business and economic climate in which the company and its stakeholders operate
Prepare the company to meet the challenges presented by new trends and developments in the market
Utilize a business orientation and marketing demeanor in order to bring concepts, services, and cooperative business models to the marketplace
Develop and maintain positive and productive relationships with high-level stakeholders and act as the company's spokesperson
Identify opportunities and propose new methods of improving existing operations with a focus on bottom-line results
Deepen customer and market penetration with the aim of dominating marketing share
Learning & Growth:
Promote a learning organization culture in the company
Ensure the employees' knowledge base is well above industry peers through investment in learning and development
Ensure a positive Return on Investment on learning and development investments
People Management:
Engage in Organization design activities, such as designs of structures, development of HR policies and procedures, and ensure their implementation and adherence
Manage the company's HR functions and compensation plan to maintain a sustainable business
Lead staff in their achievement of business objectives with integrity, fairness, and transparency
Promptly implement decisions reached by the Board of Directors and the Group CEO that impact the company and its staff
Head internal staff committees and ensure they run effectively and meet regularly
Improve staff motivation and loyalty to minimize staff turnover while maintaining a high productivity environment
Establish effective forward and feedback communication systems between the management team and all other staff to inculcate coherence and team spirit.
Key Result Areas
Meeting revenue, profitability, and strategic targets set by the Board of Directors
Corporate and business strategic plan development, implementation, and monitoring
Budget development, approval, and management
Effective management of people's productivity
Innovative approach to problem solving
Any other activities as may be directed by the Board of Directors and the Group CEO from time to time.
Requirements
A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field
Master’s Degree (MBA or equivalent) will be a great advantage
A minimum of 15 years of progressive leadership experience in a technology company, with at least 5 years in a senior executive role in a technology company
Experience in leading cross-functional teams
Ability to formulate, communicate, and execute strategies that align with organizational goals
Proven expertise in identifying new business opportunities and market trends
Skilled in building, motivating, and retaining high-performing teams
Deep understanding of the industry’s competitive landscape and regulatory environment
Proven ability to supervise directly and motivate teams, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving
Excellent communication, public presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
