Job Title: Quality Focal Person

Job Profile
The Quality Focal Person will Support the identification, assessment and selection of facilities and providers for the provision of services to adolescent girls 15 - 19 years
Provide supportive supervisory visits and on the job coaching to providers in all A360 facilities providing sexual and reproductive health services for adolescent girls 15 -19 years
Ensure quality standards are maintained in all A360 facilities (and supporting Government led facilities) providing sexual and reproductive health services for adolescents girls 15 -19 years using innovative approaches for designing programs for improving the sexual and reproductive health of adolescent girls (15 - 19 years) and ensures 70% contraceptive continuation is achieved.
Job Role
The successful candidate will perform the following functions:
Lead the implementation of self-care prototypes in addition to supporting other service delivery activities within the selected channels of implementation.
Review and adapt training tools and materials, quality assurance (QA) checklists, data quality protocols and systems, and ensure they are fit for purpose, and well-maintained.
Supervise the utilization of tools and systems to ensure adherence to the highest Quality of Care (QoC) standards across all supported service delivery channels.
This involves continuous monitoring of adherence to approved standard operational procedures and protocols and data quality procedures and protocols by participating facilities and providers in the project and develop action plans to address the identified gaps, including tracking complications and adverse event incidents and their management.
Lead the training of health providers in DMPA-SC self-injection as well counseling for choice and building empathy for clients to support women to self-inject and other service delivery prototypes across the different delivery channels (public and private facilities).
Lead the implementation of strategies to achieve a sustainability status for FP service delivery within a mixed health system.
Appraise, coach and mentor providers, HCWs, the quality assurance officers, and social and behaviour change officers through on-job training and monitor application of knowledge and skills towards improving quality of services and SRH program outcomes.
Utilization of data to adapt implementation, improve quality and optimize project implementation in the public and private sectors.
Support project staff to build facility and sub-national level capacity to plan, forecast, order and account for the health commodities, equipment and IEC materials in the support private and public facilities.
Maintain linkages and collaboration with State/LGA actors, relevant implementing partners and stakeholders and support participating facilities to develop and maintain operational partnerships and networks within the districts of operation.
Documentation of key learnings and evidence that will add to the knowledge base on DMPA-SC for self-injection and other SRH areas.
Requirements
Qualifications / Experience:
Must be a Certified Nurse Midwife or possess a Nursing degree (B.Sc. Nursing) with current registration with the appropriate national regulatory bodies. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.
Any additional training in management and public health is an added advantage.
Must have a minimum of five (5) years of post-NYSC working experience in health service delivery within a clinical or NGO setting.
Valid registration with the relevant medical regulatory body is required.
Technical expertise and functional knowledge in SRH, Maternal Health, Cervical Cancer, HIV, Malaria, and Child Survival are necessary.
Technical Job-Specific Skills:
Excellent interpersonal, communication (oral and written), and presentation skills
Extensive knowledge of health service standards in the SRH sector.
Ability to translate strategic direction into actionable plans and objectives.
Demonstrated ability to maintain high standards for quality of work and consistently achieve project targets.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and report writing.
Ability to analyze data, use it to make decisions, and implement changes in an iterative manner (adaptive implementation).
Client-focused with strong advocacy skills to engage at all levels - government, donor, and community.
Must have a continuous drive for learning and knowledge sharing.
