The Accounting and Admin Officer at TZC Cleaning Services is responsible for managing the company’s accounting operations, payroll, and key administrative functions.
This role ensures all financial records are accurate and up to date, while also maintaining compliance with Nigerian tax laws and labor regulations.
The officer will handle tasks ranging from processing payroll and filing taxes to managing staff records, invoicing, and overseeing HMO records and payments.
The position is primarily remote, requiring physical presence at the office at least twice a week. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, trustworthy, and adept at multitasking across finance and administrative responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Accounting Management:
Manage all financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
Prepare accurate financial reports, including income statements and monthly financial summaries.
Ensure proper reconciliation of bank statements and financial records.
Payroll Processing:
Calculate and process monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accurate computations and deductions.
Remit statutory payments, including Pay As You Earn (PAYE) and Value Added Tax (VAT), NSITF and Pension on time.
File all required tax returns, including year-end company tax returns.
Client Invoicing and Collections:
Prepare and issue client invoices, manage collections, and track outstanding payments.
Follow up on overdue invoices and maintain organized records of transactions.
Employee Benefits Administration:
Oversee the Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) program, including record maintenance and premium payments.
Manage pension contributions and maintain up-to-date records of transactions.
Staff Onboarding and Database Management:
Coordinate onboarding for new hires, including documentation and system setup.
Maintain a confidential and accurate employee database.
Leave Management:
Track employee leave schedules and maintain leave records.
Ensure proper documentation for all leave applications.
General Administration:
Provide administrative support, manage office supplies, improve office procedures and any other such responsibilities that may be required
Handle correspondence, scheduling, and documentation.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting and administrative roles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Familiarity with Nigerian tax laws and payroll regulations.
Skills:
Accounting Expertise: Strong understanding of financial transactions, bookkeeping, and reporting.
Payroll Processing: Knowledge of payroll software and Excel for payroll management.
Tax Compliance: Familiarity with Nigerian PAYE, VAT, and company tax returns.
Invoicing and Collections: Proficient in preparing and managing client invoices.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in financial records and payroll processing.
Organizational Skills: Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Confidentiality and Integrity: Ability to handle sensitive financial data with discretion.
