Job Title: Technical Drawing Teacher

Position Overview
Technical Drawing Teachers are responsible for the effective delivery of specific curriculum content, ensuring students achieve high academic standards while cultivating critical thinking, creativity, and a lifelong love for learning.
This role requires strong subject expertise, pedagogical skill, and the ability to inspire students within a structured and disciplined academic environment.
Primary Responsibilities
Subject Instruction and Curriculum Implementation:
Plan and deliver structured, engaging, and age-appropriate lessons in alignment with the national curriculum and school standards.
Ensure complete and timely coverage of the curriculum, integrating both theoretical knowledge and practical application.
Use a variety of instructional methods—lectures, discussions, projects, experiments, and digital tools—to cater to different learning styles.
Promote deep understanding of subject matter and develop students’ analytical and problem-solving skills.
Lesson Planning and Preparation:
Develop and submit detailed weekly lesson plans in accordance with departmental and school guidelines.
Prepare relevant instructional materials including handouts, multimedia presentations, lesson notes, worksheets, and practice exercises.
Align lesson objectives with scheme of work, termly goals, and broader academic outcomes.
Assessment and Progress Monitoring:
Design and administer appropriate formative and summative assessments, class tests, quizzes, and examinations.
Evaluate students’ academic performance using clear, objective, and consistent criteria.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of students’ results, attendance, participation, and class behavior.
Identify and address academic gaps through tailored interventions and additional support.
Classroom Management and Discipline:
Establish a safe, respectful, and positive classroom climate conducive to learning and personal growth.
Enforce school policies on discipline, punctuality, attendance, and uniform with fairness and consistency.
Encourage self-discipline, responsibility, and accountability among students.
Address behavioral issues promptly and appropriately, involving parents and school administrators when necessary.
Student Engagement and Mentorship:
Inspire and motivate students to take ownership of their learning and pursue academic excellence.
Provide mentorship and emotional support to students as part of the school’s pastoral care system.
Be available to students for additional academic help, clarification sessions, or advisory support beyond regular class time.
Communication and Collaboration:
Maintain open, respectful, and timely communication with parents/guardians regarding academic performance, behavioral concerns, and learning progress.
Collaborate with colleagues within and across departments to develop interdisciplinary projects and school-wide initiatives.
Participate actively in staff meetings, curriculum development, departmentalplanning, and teacher evaluations. Support substitute teachers and assist in the integration of new staff into the school community.
Co-Curricular and Institutional Involvement:
Participate in school clubs, societies, sports, cultural events, and field trips to support students’ holistic development.
Contribute to planning and organizing academic competitions, exhibitions, open days, and school celebrations.
Support the school’s spiritual, civic, and social programs.
Requirements
Interested candidates should possess an OND / NCE / B.Sc / M.Sc Degree with 1 year of experience.
