Job Summary

• We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Junior Account Officer to support daily financial operations in our grocery store.
• The ideal candidate will assist with sales reconciliation, stock-related accounting, vendor payments, and general bookkeeping tasks to ensure accurate and transparent financial records.

Key Responsibilities

• Reconcile daily sales reports and POS transactions
• Record purchases, expenses, and stock-related entries
• Track inventory value and assist with monthly stock audits
• Process supplier invoices and prepare payment schedules
• Maintain petty cash records and ensure accurate cash handling
• Support payroll preparation for store staff
• Assist with filing tax returns and regulatory compliance
• Respond to finance-related inquiries from vendors and staff

Requirements

• HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 0 – 2 years accounting experience (retail or store experience is a plus)
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and inventory tracking
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or any basic accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and team collaboration skills
• Trustworthy and able to handle confidential information
