Job Title: Logistics Manager

Location: Awe, Oyo

Job Purpose

• We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Logistics Manager to oversee and manage all logistics operations for our organization. 
• This role is critical to ensuring the timely, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of our products, with a strong emphasis on food safety, regulatory compliance, and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end logistics operations, including inbound and outbound transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
• Develop and execute logistics strategies that drive efficiency, cost savings, and service quality.
• Manage and coordinate with 3rd logistics (3PL) providers, transporters, and internal warehouse teams.
• Ensure all logistics operations comply with food safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Track, analyze, and report logistics KPIs (e.g., delivery accuracy, lead times, logistics costs) to support data-driven decision-making.
• Collaborate with supply chain, production, and sales teams to ensure logistics is aligned with business objectives.
• Lead the implementation and optimization of logistics systems and technology.
• Prepare and manage logistics budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality service delivery.
• Develop and train logistics staff to ensure team competence and operational excellence.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Professional logistics certifications (e.g., CLP, CILT) will be an added advantage.
• 6-8 years of hands-on experience in logistics management, preferably within the food or FMCG sector.
• Proven experience managing fleets, 3PLs, or distribution networks, with a strong understanding of food handling and logistics compliance.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Excellent knowledge of transportation, warehousing, and inventory systems
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in logistics software and ERP systems
• Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal communication skills
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks in food logistics.
• Budget management and contract negotiation expertise.
