We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Web Developer

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Summary

• We are looking for a skilled and reliable team member to manage our websites, lead web projects, and support our internal IT systems. 
• This role combines web development, IT project coordination, and general IT support. You’ll be responsible for keeping our websites online and optimized, working on web applications, and helping employees across different locations with IT issues (software, hardware, and network-related).

Key Responsibilities

• Build and update websites using Laravel, HTML, CSS, and other tools.
• Keep all websites running smoothly with minimal downtime; set up tools to monitor uptime and performance.
• Manage domain names, web hosting accounts, DNS settings, and use tools like cPanel and WHM.
• Monitor and maintain our AWS cloud servers (ensure they are funded, online, and running efficiently).
• Work with the SEO team to improve website search rankings and technical performance.
• Lead web and app projects – from idea stage to launch, including planning, setting milestones, testing, and working with outside developers.
• Provide IT support to team members across multiple office locations (remotely or on-site).
• Help with troubleshooting software, hardware, and connectivity issues.
• Assist in managing overall IT infrastructure with the internal team.
• Support and coordinate other general IT tasks as needed across departments.
• Oversee all AWS cloud infrastructure, including EC2, VPC, S3, and other relevant services.
• Set up and troubleshoot email accounts (Outlook, Gmail), Google Drive, and other cloud-based applications used by the organisation.
• Support in resolving helpdesk requests, prioritising urgent issues, and escalating when necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong experience with Laravel, HTML, CSS, and general web development.
• Knowledge of cPanel, WHM, domain management, and web hosting.
• Experience managing AWS cloud infrastructure (especially EC2 instances).
• Understanding of website uptime monitoring, performance, and troubleshooting.
• Experience working with external developers or agencies on full web/app projects.
• Hands-on experience with IT support – troubleshooting laptops, software, network issues, etc.
• Able to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical staff.
• An internationally recognized certification in programming or IT (e.g., Microsoft, CIW, CompTIA, Laravel).
