We are seeking a talented Production Pharmacist who will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and compliant production of pharmaceutical products.
S/He will oversee manufacturing activities, ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and provide reliable managerial services to the company ensuring total conformance to quality management systems and other relevant local and international regulatory quality policies/guidance.
Position Responsibilities
Supervise and monitor all production activities in compliance with GMP and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Ensure the proper handling, weighing, and dispensing of raw materials according to batch manufacturing records (BMR).
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of production processes, deviations, and corrective actions.
Coordinate with the Quality Departments to ensure timely release of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods.
Examines whether all equipment operated and production operations are performed in accordance with standard procedures in order to assure integrity of the equipment/operations
Ensures manufacturing or production goals are met and exceeded with a determined financial budget.
Coordinating production target setting, planning, scheduling and budgeting.
Implementing and improving policies and procedures to ensure safety and efficient manufacturing processes.
Working with sales, procurement, financial and marketing executives to understand current and future needs of manufacturing and production.
Ensure cleanliness and sanitization of the production area and equipment before and after operations.
Investigate and report any non-conformances or deviations in the production process.
Train, guide, and supervise production operators and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
Maintain inventory of raw materials and consumables to ensure uninterrupted production.
Support audits (internal/external) and regulatory inspections by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Confers with top senior management to ensure that manufacturing objectives are met.
Preparation of short- and long-term plans in a bid to increase the efficiency and profitability of the plant.
Coordination of Change Control with Quality Assurance and Maintenance departments.
Coordinate Deviation Management with Quality unit.
Involves in preventive and corrective maintenance plan and scheduling.
Reviewing company practices and providing advice on changes to systems.
Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with all stakeholders.
Deputizing for and assisting other team members as required.
Perform any other job-related duties that may be assigned by the supervisor.
Educational Requirements
The candidate should have at least B.Pharm or M.Sc Pharmacy or related field.
Core Competencies:
Have a minimum of 5 years post NYSC experience in pharmaceutical/bio-pharmaceutical industry
Must be a licensed pharmacist registered with Pharmaceutical Council of Nigeria.
Sound knowledge of GMP, regulatory requirements, and pharmaceutical production practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel and PPT.
Excellent communication, report-writing skills, team leadership, and a problem-solving ability.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
