Job Title: National Plastic Action Partnership (NPAP) Impact Specialist

Job Overview
The Policy Innovation Centre is serving as the National Plastic Action Partnership (NPAP) Secretariat in Nigeria. NPAP is an initiative of the Global Plastic Action Partnership (GPAP), the global platform for translating plastic pollution commitments into concrete action, hosted at the World Economic Forum (WEF)’s since its inception in 2018. GPAP is an initiative founded by the UK Government Blue Planet Fund and Global Affairs Canada. It supports National Plastic Action Partnerships (NPAPs) in 25 countries as January 2025. By applying the Global Plastic Action Plan’s (GPAP) core principles, Nigeria NPAP seeks to shift efforts to address plastic pollution from fragmented strategies to integrated solutions that emphasize partnerships and collective action. These efforts will reduce plastic waste, protect ecosystems, preserve habitats, and safeguard livelihoods and public health.
The Impact Specialist role is to support the development and establishment of an impact and evaluation framework for the Nigeria NPAP in collaboration with the GPAP Impact Specialist. The Impact Specialist will also track learning and progress towards stated goals while contributing to the development of success stories that demonstrate the impact of Nigeria NPAP.
Job Responsibilities
Develop a monitoring and evaluation framework in collaboration with the NPAP Manager and GPAP Impact Specialist.
Work with the NPAP Manager to measure impact created by the partnership in Nigeria across various impact areas.
Collaborate with various stakeholders to gauge the impact of the partnership developed.
Ensure collection of information on key indicators from the community and other stakeholders for enhancement of the partnership.
Leverage online survey tools/forms to collect better data; conduct in-person and/or virtual focus groups to gain qualitative data; analyze and communicate findings internally and externally through various collaterals.
Regular reporting to GPAP Secretariat based on the required frameworks and parameters.
Contributes to GPAP annual reports, case studies and success stories demonstrating NPAP impact.
Qualifications / Job Requirements
Deep understanding of the fundamentals of impact assessment and evaluation and the ability to apply them in a variety of contexts.
Master's Degree in a relevant field such as International Development, Public Policy, Economics, or a related discipline.
At least five years of experience in impact monitoring and evaluation and/or data analysis.
Experience in designing and/or implementing impact measurement and evaluation frameworks.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
