Job Title: Finance Associate

Location: Lagos

Job Description

• As a Finance Associate, you will play a crucial role in managing our company's financial operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all transactions, and supporting audit readiness. 
• You will also be deeply involved in the month-end close process, managing trade receivables, account payables, and providing real-time data on revenue.

Job Responsibilities

• As a Finance Associate, you will be expected to perform the following duties
• Manage the month-end close process and ensure all general ledger accounts are accurately closed with supporting schedules for all balance sheet accounts
• Ensure the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in the general ledger
• Support the team in audit readiness through reconciliation of general ledger accounts
• Manage trade receivables and provide real-time data on revenue
• Manage account payables, including monitoring vendor account balances and tracking expenses and related AP activity
• Review bank reconciliations and petty cash at the end of the month

Job Requirements

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting
• Must be a Chartered Accountant
• Must have at least 2 years of proven experience in a Finance or Accounting role in a mid-sized company
• Strong understanding of accounting and financial principles.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records.
• Proficiency in using Accounting software and databases.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
