Job Title: Assistant Project Coordinator

Location: Gwarinpa, Abuja (FCT)

Job Summary

• We are looking for a dynamic, organized, and proactive Assistant Project Coordinator to support the Project Coordinator in the planning, execution, and management of various projects and outreach programs. 
• This role is essential to ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across the foundation’s activities and engaging meaningfully with our partners and target communities.
• The ideal candidate must have prior experience working in a non-governmental organization (NGO) or foundation and be passionate about social impact work.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Coordinator in all aspects of project management, including grant writing, proposal development, partner engagement, and activity planning.
• Participate in field visits to partners, schools, hospitals, and underserved communities to support program implementation.
• Help coordinate logistics for events, outreach campaigns, and stakeholder meetings.
• Draft correspondence, meeting notes, and activity reports.
• Support fundraising and donor engagement initiatives.
• Collect and organize project data, photos, and stories for reporting and visibility.
• Maintain relationships with community leaders, volunteers, and local organizations.
• Represent the foundation at events and in meetings when delegated.
• Ensure tasks are executed on time and in line with project objectives.
• Travel occasionally for outreach events and activities in other locations.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Health, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working or volunteering in an NGO, nonprofit, or foundation setting.
• Strong interest in community development, social justice, and humanitarian work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
• Willingness and availability to travel occasionally for field assignments and outreach events.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in grant writing or donor communication.
• Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation practices.
• Ability to work independently while staying aligned with team objectives.
• Knowledge of local languages and cultural contexts is an advantage.
