Job Title:Electrical and Instrument (E&I) Technician

Position Description
Responsible for all refinery instruments, controls, and electrical equipment. This position requires a thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
Major Areas of Responsibilities
Perform maintenance of electrical equipment/installations including electric motors, generators, UPS systems, MCCs, transformers, control panels, lighting systems, etc.
Perform maintenance of instrument devices including local gauges, switches, RTDs, transmitters, analyzers, PLC systems, meters, SSOVs, control valves, etc.
Replacement of electric motors, generators, UPS systems, MCCs, transformers, control panels, lighting systems, etc.
Replacement of instrument devices including local gauges, switches, RTDs, transmitters, analyzers, PLC systems, meters, SSOVs, control valves, etc.
Participate and successfully complete training programs, process safety management reviews, and safety meetings required to comply with company and regulatory requirements.
Participate in toolbox and operations meetings
Understand procedures necessary to ensure compliance to all company standards, industry standards and regulatory agency requirements
Maintain, troubleshoot, and fix instrument devices including, local gauges, switches, RTDs, transmitters, analyzers, PLC systems, meters, SSOVs, and control valves, etc.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and fix low voltage and medium voltage electrical equipment including electric motors, generators, UPS systems, MCCs, transformers, power distribution panels, lighting system and controls.
Ensure good facility appearance and safe condition through good housekeeping practices during job execution.
Participate in available cross training sessions to effectively add value to skills in specialty jobs with others.
Perform planned perform preventative maintenance as required. Perform routine inspections, remedial and preventative maintenance jobs ensuring good facility appearance and safe condition through good housekeeping practices.
Mark-up and changes made on P&IDs and schematic wiring diagrams for updating by the Process Engineer in compliance with SOPs and MOC policies
Perform lock-out/tag-out, correctly, and safely perform maintenance works.
Understand process loop interaction and impact of actions on the process during maintenance jobs
Perform any other job duties as directed by the Maintenance

Minimum Requirements
OND or HND in Electrical Engineering
Three years working experience in Electrical, Instrumentation, process, controls and automation in Oil and Gas facilities

Knowledge of electrical/instrument testing and inspection routines.
Knowledge of electrical, instrument and controls equipment identifications.
