we are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Application Engineer: (I) (Protection and Control) (II) SCADA System

Location: Wuse II, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: permanent

Key Responsibilities

• Provide after sales and technical service to the customers in Africa countries (Mostly Nigeria and West Africa Country).
• Coordinates testing, repair, and installation of equipment.
• Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
• Providing technical Assistance to client both online and offline.
• Supervise and direct onsite crew (e.g. technicians) while working on Projects.
• Testing installations, and analyzing data.
• Making sure projects meet electrical and construction safety regulations.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Attributes

• Education: A  Bachelor's Degree or above in Electrical Engineering
• Degree Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent
• Major: Electrical Engineering (Power or Electronics option)
• Language: English
• Nationality: Nigerian
• Gender: Male
• Age: Below 30 years.

General Required Skills:

• Understanding the basic principles of operation of the power system.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new technology such as BESS and Micro grid
• Basic knowledge of Power system protection to carry out testing of protection relays
• At least 3 years working experience in the Power System Engineering field either in Distribution, transmission or Generation Company.
• COREN Certificate Holder will be an added advantage.
• Ability to interpret Electrical circuit drawings both in software and hardware format.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, hard-working and identity corporate culture.
• Clear and fluent in English Language with Strong communication ability (oral and written in English).
• Ability to work well under pressure and under Low or No supervision.
• Proven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Required to travel often, and probably be stationed outside the workplace for some time.

Additional information to note:
In addition to above required skills, an applicant for the SCADA System position must demonstrate the knowledge of the following:

• Basic knowledge of protocols like IEC104, IEC101, Modbus, IEC61850, and DNP3, which are essential for communication between SCADA components
• Manage HMI interface and develop an SLD to show, devices, points, controls, alarms and more.
• Basic knowledge of Linux operating system will be an added advantage.
