Express Resource Connect was launched in 2020 as a response to developing a home grown business management solution simplified enough to be used by an owner manager of any business or an enterprise with multiple business processes and employees. We offer a comprehensive business management solution, empowering smal, mid-size, and large enterprises to automate, digitise, and seamlessly manage al their business operations in one integrated platform.

Job Summary

• To provide the direction and delivery of all information technology systems supporting the Company’s operations.

Key Responsibilities (Principal Duties & Responsibilities)

• Oversee the development and implementation of a company wide technology strategy and roadmap that aligns with the organisation’s systems, projects and business needs.
• Ensure the technology brand of the company is elevated; this will improve talent attraction and ensure retention of top technologists. Lead all ongoing technology initiatives and create a cutting-edge technology culture.
• Build relationships across the company, collaborate effectively, and develop a strong team to anticipate and meet the technology needs of the company.
• Oversee the Management of the IT infrastructures and resources of the organisation
• IT Project Manager for all IT related Project being implemented in the organisation
• Implement IT Control and Policies set up by the organization
• Maintain the Data Centre and Disaster Recovery site
• Ensure an effective, helpful and customer friendly helpdesk, by tracking, investigating and resolving problems
• Translate strategic requirements into a usable enterprise information architecture, which will then be used to guide enterprise solution development and achieve consistency of information assets across the application portfolio.
• Oversee mapping of enterprise information architecture models to package application models, to determine the impact or assess suitability of vendor solutions to enterprise information architecture requirements
• Ensure existing data/information assets are identified, stewarded and leveraged across the enterprise.
• Participate in key project design reviews as part of the methodology process to ensure application designs adhere to enterprise information architecture guidelines.
• Ensure all applications deployed in the organization are available and achieve 99% uptime
• Covers all problems, user requests and changes relating to the operation of the applications.
• Delivers availability and performance in line with the service levels agreed to support the business services.
• Management of all Enterprise Platforms & Databases in the organization.
• Ensure in-house developed applications meet the business needs and are upgraded as the business requirement changes
• Ensure software test plans are comprehensive and their executions are total for any implementations whether third-party or in-house developed.
• Review of the security framework in line with the business’ Enterprise Risk framework, Policies, Processes and Procedures
• Ensure Compliance with the organization’s security policy
• Provide physical and logical security for IT programs, data and equipment
• Contribution to the formulation of IT Policy and Strategic Plan in area of Platforms and Database Administration
• Interact with information security service providers and vendors with maintenance agreements

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science and other related disciplines
• Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in information technology
• Master’s degree is an added advantage
• Relevant Professional Certification

Competency and Skill Requirements:

• A strong background in technology, ideally within the financial services industry.
• Demonstration of a passion and enthusiasm for technology.
• Proven track record of building and leading high-performing technology teams, including those with application development, architecture and infrastructure responsibilities.
• In-depth IT industry knowledge with capabilities of working with the infrastructure, using own initiative for identifying users’ needs and to work with users for any required IT service
• Proficient knowledge of office automation tools (e.g. Microsoft Office, etc.)
