We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head of Transport

Location: Surulere, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily driving operations/assignments.
• Ensure that drivers are properly and neatly dressed while on duty.
• Encourage drivers from time to time on the importance of good customer relations.
• Monitor the drivers driving conduct through the bus attendants/students.
• Raise and Record vouchers for fueling.
• Maintain discipline amongst drivers and ensure erring drivers on fuel management are reported to the fleet coordinator.
• Ensure the drivers keep an update of their vehicle services and inform the fleet coordinator when vehicles are due for service.
• Receive and follow up on all repair needs until the repair is done
• Keep record of the maintenance cost on each bus.
• Submit the report on the maintenance cost to the fleet coordinator monthly.
• Ensure buses leave the compound clean and presentable.
• Prepare and share a monthly report to the fleet coordinator.
• Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications & Skills

• B.Sc. or HND in a related field
• Minimum of 10 years work experience in the transportation or logistics sector
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
• Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
• Good knowledge of traffic laws and transportation regulations
• Experience using fleet management or vehicle tracking systems is an added advantage.
