Job Title: Group Head, Verification & Value-Added Services
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Objective(s)
Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the Payarena Verification & Value Added Services Group, ensuring seamless operations, excellent service delivery, and sustained business growth.
Drive market expansion and revenue generation while maintaining operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, including the Head of Department, to achieve business objectives and enhance Unified Payments’ leadership position in the verification services sector.
Achieve income target for the VAS group.
Develop and execute strategies to drive revenue growth.
Enhance customer experience and expand the company’s VAS portfolio.
Ensure smooth running of VAS group while building an effective team bond.
The ideal candidate will leverage market insights, partnerships, and technology to optimize service delivery and maximize profitability.
Duties & Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Business Growth:
Develop and execute strategic initiatives to drive revenue growth and market share in the verification services industry.
Oversee the Head of Department and provide guidance on operational and business development strategies.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, government agencies (MDAs), and key stakeholders to expand the company’s verification services portfolio.
Drive continuous innovation in verification service solutions, ensuring Unified Payments remains a market leader.
Ensure all internal and external projects are executed effectively, within scope, budget, and timelines.
Financial & Operational Oversight:
Take full profit and loss (P&L) responsibility for the Payarena Verification & Value Added Services Group, ensuring revenue targets and cost efficiency are achieved.
Monitor and analyze financial performance, preparing monthly reports that highlight key revenue streams and profitability trends.
Ensure departmental expenses align with budget expectations while optimizing resource utilization.
Oversee operational processes to maintain high service delivery standards and customer satisfaction.
People Management & Organizational Development:
Provide leadership and mentorship to the Head of Department and ensure team development programs, appraisals, and succession planning are in place.
Foster a performance-driven culture within the team, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.
Facilitate regular team meetings to align on business objectives, review performance, and drive collaboration.
Oversee HR-related functions within the department, including recruitment, training, and employee engagement initiatives.
Client Relationship & Business Development:
Drive marketing and sales efforts for verification service solutions, targeting both public and private organizations.
Strengthen client relationships to enhance customer retention, cross-selling, and upselling opportunities.
Represent Unified Payments at high-level industry engagements, forums, and strategic meetings to enhance brand visibility and partnerships.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Expansion of client base and market share.
