University Press PLC (UPPLC) was founded in 1949 under the name of Oxford University Press Nigeria, and has grown to become one of the oldest, most experienced and the Nation’s Foremost Publishers of materials for educational and for general reading. At incorporation as a public liability company in 1978,the Company’s name was changed to University Press Limited with anauthorisedshare capital of 8,000,000 Ordinary shares of 50k each. Quoted on the Nigerian Stock Exchange on 14th August 1978, UPPLC has, on two occasions, won the prestigious Stock Exchange MeritAward in the service sector of quoted companies. We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Stock Control Officer 

Location: Ibadan, Oyo / Ilorin, Kwara
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• Receive and check stock from printers and depots.
• Pick stock to be loaded to depots on pallets.
• Sort and return stock to the appropriate location in the warehouse.
• Issue, pack and deliver stock to customers and depots.
• Ensure stock is properly stacked on pallets during offloading, and taken to the appropriate stock location.
• Ensure safekeeping of company inventory.

Qualification & Required Skills

• B.Sc. / Higher National Diploma in Purchasing & Supply, Logistics, Business Administration or any other related discipline with minimum of second-class lower division or lower credit .
• At least two (2) years post-qualification work experience in a similar position.
• Not more than 35 years of age.
• Must have the ability to pay attention to details.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Ability to work with little or no supervision and perform well under pressure.
• Must have organization and time management skills.
• Must be pro-active and versatile.
• Computer literacy.
• Applicant must be resident in respective locations.
