Senior Lecturer (Haematology and Blood Transfusion) at the Federal University of Health Science, Ila-Orangun (FUHSI)

The Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila-Orangun, Osun State is one of the new Universities established in 2021 by the Federal Government of Nigeria. The Federal University of Health Sciences is a specialized one with focus on Health, Nutrition and Medical Sciences and it is expected to lay a foundation for building National preparedness and resilience in anticipation of future challenges in the health sector while also reducing medical tourism abroad.

Job Title: Senior Lecturer (Haematology and Blood Transfusion)

Qualifications and Requirements

• The candidate must possess a good First Degree, not below second class lower division, from a reputable University and a Master’s and PhD Degree (or MBBS plus PhD/Fellowship) in the appropriate discipline.
• Must possess MBBS plus Fellowship or MBBS with MSc and PhD degrees as applicable.
• The applicants must have spent at least 3 years as Lecturer 1 in a recognised University. 
• In addition, the candidate must have published at least fifteen articles in reputable local and international outlets acceptable to the Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila-Orangun, of which at least 30% must be offshore, and the candidate should be a lead author in about 30% of the publications
• The applicant should have demonstrated good teamwork and leadership skills in the university system.
• The applicant must have good Citations, H-index and i10-index in Google Scholar.
• Candidates with verifiable records of having won research grants as Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator will stand at an advantage.
