Nosagie Holdings - Our subsidiary, a Microfinance Bank was incorporated in Nigeria with the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria in March 2005 under the provisions of the Companies and Allied Matters Act CAP C20 LFN 2004and commenced operations on 10th October 2005. It is licensed to carry on the business of microfinance banking by the Central Bank of Nigeria.
Develop and implement the bank’s strategic plans in line with its vision, mission, and regulatory requirements.
Work with the Board to shape policy and ensure effective governance structures are in place.
Lead the execution of short-term and long-term business strategies.
Represent the bank in high-level regulatory, industry, and public engagements.
Regulatory Compliance (CBN Returns & Reporting):
Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of all statutory reports and returns to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
Ensure strict compliance with CBN’s MFB regulatory framework, including revised guidelines, circulars, and prudential guidelines.
Liaise with CBN examiners during routine and special examinations.
Oversee prompt response to CBN Management Letters, resolving queries and implementing recommendations.
Financial Management & Reconciliation:
Oversee the preparation of financial statements in line with regulatory and accounting standards.
Supervise the bank’s daily, monthly, and year-end reconciliations, ensuring no unresolved balances in suspense or transit accounts.
Monitor financial performance and provide regular reports to the Board and relevant stakeholders.
Ensure strict internal control and risk management systems are maintained.
Loan Portfolio & Recovery Management:
Oversee credit origination, appraisal, and disbursement in line with credit policy.
Ensure robust monitoring and recovery strategies are implemented for delinquent loans.
Lead loan recovery efforts and direct the legal/collections team to enforce loan agreements where necessary.
Maintain a healthy PAR (Portfolio at Risk) and improve loan repayment culture among clients.
Filing, Documentation & Record Keeping:
Ensure all statutory filings (e.g., CAC, tax authorities, CBN) are done accurately and on time.
Supervise proper documentation of all operational and financial transactions.
Guarantee that customer, employee, and regulatory records are securely stored and easily retrievable.
Operational Oversight & Staff Management:
Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring optimal performance across all departments.
Promote a performance-driven culture through training, supervision, and performance evaluation.
Ensure adherence to HR policies, code of conduct, and disciplinary procedures.
Lead executive meetings an ensure prompt follow-up on action item
Required Qualifications & Experience
B.Sc./HND in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in financial services, with at least 5 years in a senior management position within a microfinance bank or regulated financial institution.
Proven experience with CBN reporting, loan recovery, financial reconciliation, and statutory filings.
Professional certification (e.g., ACIB, ICAN, ACCA) is highly desirable.
Sound knowledge of microfinance banking regulations, credit administration, risk management, and corporate governance.
