Events Coordinator at Aztec Microfinance Bank

Aztec Microfinance Bank Limited is a Tier 1 Unit-Based Microfinance Bank. The bank is licensed by Central Bank of Nigeria upon which it commenced business operations in June, 2022. As a duly license microfinance bank, all deposits of the of the bank is fully insured by the Nigerian Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC).

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Events Coordinator

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Key Responsibilities

• Plan ,coordinate, and execute events , including private parties, corporate functions, and the med nights.
• Liaise with clients to understand their event requirements , ensuring all details are captured and delivered.
• Coordinate with internal teams, including kitchen, bar,and service staff to ensure seamless event execution.
• Manage event logistic, including setup, breakdown and troubleshooting on the day of the event.
• Source and manage relationship with vendors,such as decorators, entertainers and equipment suppliers.
• Monitor event budget, ensure all expenses are tracked and within the agreed upon-limits.
• Promote events through various channels,including social media, email campaigns and local advertising.
• Provide on-site supervision during events to ensure client satisfaction and address any issues that arise.
• Conduct post-events evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in event planning or coordination,preferably in the hospitality or food service industry.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple events simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,with the ability to interact with clients,vendors and staff effectively.
• Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and the ability to bring event concept to life.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances during events.
• Proficiency in event Management and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience in budgeting and financial management related to event planning.
• Flexibility to work evenings,weekends and holidays as required by event schedules.
