Job Summary
SAP MDM (Master Data Management) Consultant with a strong background in Finance and Controlling (FICO) to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of SAP MDM processes, tools, and best practices, with a focus on financial master data management.
This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining SAP MDM solutions to ensure accurate, consistent, and reliable master data across the organization.
The consultant will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business processes, improve data quality, and drive operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Master Data Management Implementation:
Design, configure, and implement SAP MDM solutions for Finance and Controlling modules.
Define and maintain master data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and integrity across SAP and non-SAP systems.
Finance and Controlling Expertise:
Work closely with the Finance and Controlling teams to understand their master data requirements.
Manage financial master data objects such as General Ledger (GL) accounts, Cost Centers, Profit Centers, Internal Orders, and Asset Master Data.
Support integration between SAP MDM and SAP FICO modules.
Data Quality and Governance:
Monitor and improve the quality of master data through regular audits, cleansing, and enrichment activities.
Develop and enforce data governance frameworks to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
Resolve data-related issues and provide root cause analysis.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to deliver MDM solutions.
Conduct workshops and training sessions to educate users on MDM processes and tools.
Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units to ensure alignment of MDM strategies with business goals.
Project Support:
Participate in end-to-end MDM projects, including requirements gathering, solution design, testing, and deployment.
Manage timelines, deliverables, and resources for MDM initiatives.
Provide regular updates to project managers and stakeholders on project progress.
Technical Expertise:
Utilize SAP MDM tools and technologies, including SAP Information Steward, SAP Data Services, and SAP S/4HANA MDG (Master Data Governance).
Develop and maintain data models, workflows, and validation rules.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to MDM systems.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within the MDM landscape.
Stay updated on the latest SAP MDM trends, tools, and best practices.
Recommend and implement enhancements to improve system performance and user experience.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
SAP MDM or SAP FICO certification is highly desirable.
Minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience in SAP MDM, with a focus on Finance and Controlling.
Proven experience in implementing and managing SAP MDM solutions in large-scale organizations.
Strong understanding of SAP FICO modules and their integration with MDM.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with non-SAP systems and their integration with SAP MDM.
Experience in Agile or Scrum project management methodologies.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in SAP MDM tools (SAP MDG, SAP Information Steward, SAP Data Services).
Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and its implications for master data management.
Familiarity with data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration techniques.
Soft Skills:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and quality.
Work Environment:
This role may require occasional travel to other company locations or SAP events.
