Job Title: Program Director, Program Medicines

About You And The Role
We’re looking for a seasoned program director to own and lead our portfolio of program drug (HIV, TB, malaria) use cases in Nigeria.
You’ll be responsible for developing and communicating project plans and timelines, marshaling cross-functional resources to successfully deliver against program goals, setting and tracking progress against weekly KPI targets, working through external partners and stakeholders to enable execution, supporting monitoring and evaluation activities, managing a feedback loop to improve programmatic design and operational performance, and stewarding the budget responsibly.
The ideal candidate for this role demonstrates advanced operational and project management skills, a knack for communicating with influence across all levels of an organization, a track record of achievement in launching and leading complex projects, and a creative, unrelenting approach to problem-solving.
What You’ll Do
Establish and manage a project plan, timeline and budget, driving accountability and ownership across cross-functional teams, including Customer Success, Operations, Aviation Regulatory, Impact Evaluation, Marketing, Finance, and Software teams
Develop, communicate and execute use case implementation and integration plans, from milestone achievements to launch dates, in partnership with Zipliners across the Nigeria organization, including adapting plans to each state in collaboration with state directors
Collaborate with and coordinate across key external stakeholders, including local implementers and agencies, governmental and policy bodies, research partners, and local community organizations - to assure availability of necessary commodities and successful and timely launches
Work with external partners to design workflows and plans that solve for how a program or use case will integrate into a partner’s existing clinical and operational framework
Lead cross-functional retrospectives and process improvement efforts, including documenting and tracking risk factors, identifying opportunities, and creating systems and processes that allow for faster and better launches at scale
Partner on research design and rollout, ensure programmatic KPIs are tracked and reviewed on a regular basis, and compile quarterly stakeholder reports
Identify potential improvements to the program or use case design, and work with internal and external stakeholders to evaluate and incorporate these changes
Manage the use case budget to efficiently deliver results
Coach and mentor other program managers across the team
What You’ll Bring
7+ years of experience leading donor-funded programs, preferably in health
Proven track record in planning and managing complex programmatic rollouts with international and multi-sector scopes
Strong entrepreneurial drive and practical problem-solving orientation
Experience executing programs on behalf of or in partnership with governments a plus
Advanced project management and operational skills, including demonstrated ability to leverage digital project management and communication tools
Excellent communication skills, including ability to write professional progress reports
Collaborative approach that includes working with multiple internal and external stakeholders simultaneously
Experience working with Nigeria’s public health system a strong plus
Commitment and ability to train staff and partners; management experience a plus
