Each network partner recruits and develops promising future leaders to teach in their nations’ under-resourced schools and communities and, with this foundation, to work with others, inside and outside of education, to ensure all children are able to fulfill their potential. Teach For All’s global organization works to increase the network’s impact by capturing and spreading learning, facilitating connections among partners, accessing global resources, and fostering the leadership development of partner staff, teachers, and alumni.

Job Title: Global Lead, Early Stage Strategy and Support
Location: Nigeria
Job Summary
The Collective Learning and Consultingteam is a diverse group of over 20 staff members with an array of expertise, ranging from teacher recruitment and professional development to governance to public / private sector partnerships. In collaboration with others, the Collective Learning and Consulting team drives aggregate impact across the network by:
Distilling and sharing insights
Designing and facilitating meaningful learning opportunities and communities in virtual, in-person and blended spaces
Providing tailored coaching and consulting to early stage entrepreneurs and current network partners
Contributing insights on education, leadership, and system change to the broader global ecosystem.
Responsibilities
Provide strategic partnership on executing Teach For All’s Early Stage Approach and Philosophy
Serve as a key advisor to regional portfolio leads on:
Pursuing proactive efforts to raise awareness of the Teach For All approach among high-potential entrepreneurs
Diagnosing prospective partner needs at different points in their journey to launch
Leveraging Teach For All’s resources and connections to support entrepreneurs
Navigating challenges and tensions in the launch process
Support in the execution of Teach For All’s early stage policies and processes throughout the launch process, including:
Engaging a proactive strategy to connect with potential entrepreneurs and champions
Signing MOUs, licensing agreements, and subgrant agreements with prospective partners
Providing intensive pre-partnership support to entrepreneurs
Contributing to partnership decisions when entrepreneurs become eligible to join the network
Navigating disputed territories and geopolitical sensitivities
Maintain an ongoing bird’s-eye view of the global early stage pipeline to inform strategic shifts based on emerging needs and opportunities.
Develop learning experiences and resources to support entrepreneurs seeking to launch strong, sustainable organizations that are aligned to the Teach For All model
In partnership with regional and functional colleagues, develop and maintain a suite of offerings that support entrepreneurs to:
Develop a contextualized understanding of their organization’s theory of problem, vision, and theory of change
Create programmatic strategies around teacher placement, recruitment/selection, training/support, and impact measurement that advance the broader organizational vision
Build partnerships with diverse stakeholders - including communities, public sector representatives, and private sector champions - in order to secure the resources and support necessary to launch and generate long-term momentum towards system change
Develop foundations for strong governance, financial management, and staffing/organizational culture
Strengthen their own personal leadership in service of this work
Ensure that the holistic repository of resources available to entrepreneurs is cohesive, accessible, and reflects the Teach For All network’s diversity and current insights
Foster community and connections between entrepreneurs at similar phases of the launch process, as well as with other Teach For All network partners and members of the global organization
Qualifications
Minimum of 7-10 years of full-time professional experience in relevant roles
Extensive experience working across diverse country contexts throughout Sub-Saharan Africa, with a deep understanding of regional and cultural dynamics
Experience designing tools and experiences to facilitate adult learning across diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
Experience launching and/or coaching and supporting social enterprises is strongly preferred.
Fluency in English is required; proficiency in French is strongly preferred.
Familiarity with the Teach For All model and/or prior work experience with one of Teach For All’s network partners is an asset.
