We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Eleme, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility reports for construction projects.
• Analyze project risks and develop cost-effective solutions.
• Assist in contract administration, including negotiating terms with vendors and suppliers.
• Conduct site visits to monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to budgets and timelines.
• Oversee procurement activities and validate supplier quotations.
• Provide insights on cost control and financial forecasting for ongoing projects.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to optimize project efficiency.
• Prepare tender documents and evaluate bids to select the best contractors.
• Maintain up-to-date records of project expenditures and financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, building codes, and company policies
• Manage and maintain the Managing Director's schedule, including appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements.
• Handle all communication on behalf of the Managing Director, including phone calls, emails, and correspondence.
• Prepare and edit reports, presentations, contracts, and other documents.
• Plan and organize meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and ensuring follow-up actions.
• Assist in various projects by conducting research, compiling data, and providing administrative support.
• Process invoices, manage expense reports, and assist with budget preparation.
• Conduct market research to gather data on recent sales, new listings, and real estate trends.
• Oversee property maintenance and repair issues, coordinating with contractors and service providers.
• Organize and maintain a comprehensive filing system for all real estate documents and client records.

Qualifications

• HND / Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experiencein quantity surveying within the construction sector.
• Strong analytical and financial management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of cost estimation, procurement processes, and contract negotiation.
• Proficiency in industry software such as AutoCAD, Costx, or Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with clients, suppliers, and teams.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of building regulations and industry standard.
