WTS Energy is recruiting to fill the below position:
To give direction and leadership to the onshore production/operation teams for the safe, reliable, environmentally sound and economically optimized operation and maintenance of onshore facilities.
Direct, supervise and coordinate the operations activities, both production operation and maintenance on all onshore facilities for the Stubb Creek Marginal Field.
Establish operating procedures and programmes to optimize operations, meet targets, maintenance schedules and safety standards within set objectives.
Support and provide coverage for the OIM as required. Liaise and coordinate with the Head and team of Production/Operations Department in the short and day to day operational plans and supervisions.

Direct and supervise the activities of assigned personnel in the operations services, both operation production and maintenance at the level established by Management for this position.
Ensure efficient co-ordination between production operation and maintenance. Monitor the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the onshore production and support facilities to ensure the daily operating targets are achieved via consistent, safe, efficient, reliable and environmentally sound practices. Recommend OIM for process improvements to achieve safe and cost-effective production and maintenance.
Direct, supervise and approve all work orders and work permits related to operation maintenance and construction activities to be carried out in the field.
Prepare various operational reports including maintenance activities, providing data on production and operation levels, fluctuations in specifications, problems, quantifying the losses in terms of production, etc. without excluding compiling, analyzing and finalizing reports with justification for certain actions or recommendations for other(s).
Participate in preparing operations and maintenance budgets. Monitor and control operational expenditure in line with department objectives.
Monitor and follow up on priorities and schedules of work with maintenance.
Supervise the preparation and isolation of any work areas /equipment to ensure all safety rules and regulation are understood and adhered to as indicated in the work permits.
Direct and coordinate the enforcement of safety rules and regulations in all areas of operation. Fulfill the assigned role of co-coordinating the Incident Response in the IRT as On-scene Commander. Participate in and learn from Emergency Exercises in preparation for Incident Commander role as a stand-in OIM.
Ensure within agreed delegation of authority that Company safety policy, operating procedures and instructions, good practice methods are applied within his group and generally motivate his team, carrying out routine work.
Participate in planning activities. Provide information to the Support section for the preparation of normal maintenance and shutdown schedules. Ensure that all works are integrated with those of other departments or sections. During execution, direct the work coordination to include preparing procedures, defining operational constraints and recommending appropriate configurations that will minimize downtime and production loss.
Direct and coordinate all preparation on offshore facilities for any specific or important intervention operation such as production shut down for major maintenance, wire line, etc. including ensuring that full cooperation and assistance is provided by subordinates during such operations.
Supervise the maintenance of consumable stocks/operating chemicals and materials on site and controls the issue and consumption of such. Ensure the optimal utilization of materials in order to minimize costs, including requisitions and replenishments for depleted stocks and report on consumption rates / quantities.
Analyze and evaluate procedures and equipment and recommends modifications that will improve or enhance standardization, simplification and safety of procedures and equipment.
As required liaise with Technical & Onshore support team (FUN partners and vendors alike) in relation to onshore works and acceptance.
Perform other similar or related duties as assigned such as ensuring maintenance of files and records, training, competency and guiding subordinates, trouble-shooting problems, ensuring good housekeeping, environment protection, etc.
Involve in the development programmes for Nigerian nationals in line with government policy on Nigerian Content Development (NCD).
Undertakes similar or related tasks and duties as directed by the OIM.
Requirements
B.Sc. in Engineering or equivalent plus 2 years' formal training in Oil & Gas production operations, particularly on processing facility operations. Competence in review and update of design deliverables.
12 years operations and maintenance experience in onshore oil/gas industry with at least 5 years at supervisory experience in Onshore Plant.
Experience in offshore oil and gas industry preferred but not essential, however, experience in working overseas and in difficult environmental, cultural and climatic conditions is highly regarded.
Experience in Oil and Gas well operations including knowledge of completion and down hole equipment is highly desirable.
Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English.
Computer literate with a good knowledge of professional and business software applications. A thorough knowledge of Operations Integrity Management systems (OIMS) will be an advantage.
Financial control and accounting principles and systems.
