Job Title: Infrastructure Technician
Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Job Duties
The Infrastructure & Telecom Technician is a polyvalent technician responsible for tasks ranging from preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment such as generator sets, air conditioning, and network devices, to optimizing existing infrastructures, installing, and commissioning new equipment.
They specialize in managing electrical infrastructures (DC and AC power), installing and maintaining telecom generator sets and air conditioning units. He can work alone or within a team, under the supervision of the Engineering Manager.
Tasks
Ensure, perform, and monitor preventive maintenance of telecom points of presence.
Ensure, perform, and monitor corrective maintenance.
Create a weekly schedule of tasks and follow-up.
Provide weekly reports on completed operations.
Install and commission equipment (VCC, VAC, Air Conditioning, Generator, etc.) with internal resources or external providers, ensuring adherence to best practices.
Plan and prepare interventions.
Analyze and prepare interventions (hardware, tools, and documentation).
Assess constraints, risks, and feasibility of interventions.
Communicate the purpose and impact of interventions.
Comply with safety standards, with GVA's goal being ZERO ACCIDENTS.
Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), mark intervention areas, and respect safety distances from electrical power sources (Low/High Voltage).
Strictly apply laws and standards in force in the country of operation.
Follow GVA's internal processes.
Assist in writing calls for tenders for infrastructure projects.
Monitor the implementation of GVA infrastructure projects and produce progress reports.
Develop infrastructure management procedures for GVA.
Ensure availability during on-call periods for network monitoring and critical incident management.
Perform any other activities assigned by management within the scope of the service.
Responsibilities
Ensure tasks are completed within deadlines according to schedules.
Report encountered issues to superiors.
Write activity reports and other summaries.
Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
Comply with the company's QHSE standards.
Adhere to the company's anti-corruption rules.
The position requires strict compliance with current procedures, standards, regulations, and internal policies.
Requirements
Educational Qualification and experience:
Technical diploma: BAC+2 or higher in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
Minimum of 2 years of experience.
Skills:
Valid B driving license + driving experience.
