Job Summary
Mavin’s Royalty Associate is responsible for managing and processing royalty payments, ensuring accurate reporting, and maintaining compliance with contractual obligations related to artist, producer, and songwriter royalties.
This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of the music industry's royalty structures.

As the Royalty Associate, you will be responsible for tracking, calculating, and distributing royalty payments while ensuring accuracy and transparency.
You will work closely with internal teams, including finance, legal, A&R, and business affairs, to ensure smooth royalty processing and compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
Here’s What You Will Be Doing:
Royalty Processing & Distribution:
Calculate and process royalty payments for artists, producers, and other rights holders.
Ensure timely and accurate distribution of royalties in compliance with contracts.
Maintain comprehensive royalty reports and records.
Contract Review & Compliance:
Review and interpret contracts to ensure proper royalty calculations and distributions.
Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
Work closely with legal teams to resolve royalty disputes and queries.
Data Management & Reporting:
Maintain and update royalty databases with accurate information.
Generate detailed royalty reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Analyze royalty trends and provide insights for financial planning.
Reconciliation & Audit Support:
Conduct periodic reconciliations of royalty statements and financial records.
Support external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation.
Identify and resolve discrepancies in royalty payments.
Stakeholder Communication:
Liaise with artists, producers, and rights holders regarding royalty payments and queries.
Collaborate with finance and legal teams to ensure accurate and efficient processes.
Provide support in resolving disputes and inquiries related to royalties.
Other Administrative Duties Include:
Assist in the automation and optimization of royalty processing systems.
Keep up-to-date with industry changes affecting royalty calculations and payments.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in royalty management.
Requirements
Bring Your Vibe:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in royalty accounting, finance, or the music industry.
Strong knowledge of music licensing, publishing, and royalty structures.
Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
