Job Title: Solar Panel Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Lagos

Description
Daystar Power Group is seeking a Solar Panel Maintenance Supervisor in Lagos to join the team.
The ideal candidate will have a track record in maintaining large-scale solar power systems.
He or she will monitor designated sites, notify managers of deficiencies and drive the solar panel maintenance team to actualise better asset performance.
We are seeking a hardworking, motivated, and well-organised individual with a focus on continuous improvement to exceed expectations.
Key responsibilities
Manage and execute activities pertaining to Solar System Preventative Maintenance (SSPM) on all allotted Daystar solar power systems and ensuring all HSE procedures are followed. These activities include, but are not limited to:
Periodic cleaning of solar PV modules as per the annual maintenance schedule
Inspection of the solar mounting structures
Periodic cable inspection as per the annual maintenance schedule
Array Junction Box (AJB) maintenance as per the annual maintenance schedule
Conducting PV system checks.
Taking and archiving of “before and after” pictures of the solar panel array.
Plan, prepare, and manage schedules pertaining to preventive maintenance on allotted solar plants.
He/she is expected to plan maintenance activities for members of his/her team on a weekly basis.
He/she is expected to ensure that the annual maintenance schedule for solar plants is strictly followed.
Weekly reporting of all executed maintenance activities.
Enforce HSE compliance within the team during all maintenance activities.
Ensure that all team members and 3rd party contractors have the required medical fitness and competency certificates.
Liaise with QHSE officers for the provision of all required RAMS documents.
Ensure the availability and mandatory use of PPE within the team.
Ensure that all safety guidelines are strictly adhered to, especially while working at heights.
Report all safety incidents and near-misses to the QHSE department.
Requirements
Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years’ work experience in Electrical Engineering roles, preferably in the renewable energy or power industry, installing and/or maintaining solar systems.
Language Proficiency: English.
Character:
Self-motivated and demonstrates a sense of ownership with a high level of commitment and the ability to thrive under pressure.
Passionate about the quality of workmanship.
Good communication skills and the ability to lead and work well in teams.
Discretion in dealing with sensitive information.
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects in parallel and prioritise competing demands, passion for renewable energy.
HSE certification is an advantage.
Must demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel and Word).
