We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Sales Executive

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Position Overview

  • We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior Sales Executive to lead strategic sales efforts, drive revenue growth, and build long-term client relationships. 
  • This role requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of sales strategies, procurement processes, and the construction industry. 
  • The ideal candidate will excel in negotiation, market expansion, and client engagement, contributing significantly to the company's success.

Responsibilities
Strategic Sales Leadership:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Identify high-value opportunities and untapped markets for business expansion.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align sales goals with organizational objectives.

Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:

  • Build and nurture relationships with key clients in the construction sector.
  • Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions that align with the company's offerings.
  • Lead high-stakes negotiations to secure long-term contracts and partnerships.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring their satisfaction and fostering repeat business.

Market Expansion and Business Growth:

  • Explore new business opportunities in construction markets.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to refine sales strategies.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking sessions to build brand visibility and secure business leads.

Revenue and Profitability Optimization:

  • Drive all revenue streams, including software subscriptions, marketplace transactions, and financing partnerships.
  • Implement pricing strategies and sales initiatives to maximize profitability.
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to enhance client lifetime value.

Sales Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Use CRM tools to track pipeline activity and ensure accurate sales forecasts.
  • Analyze sales data and metrics to evaluate team performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on sales performance and market trends.

Team Collaboration and Mentorship:

  • Collaborate with marketing, product development, and customer success teams to optimize sales strategies.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior sales team members, fostering a high-performance sales culture.
  • Contribute insights to the product roadmap based on customer feedback and market demands.

Requirements
Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Master’s Degree (e.g., MBA) is highly desirable.

Experience:

  • 5–7 years of proven experience in sales, preferably in the construction, procurement, or technology industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Extensive experience managing key accounts and negotiating high-value contracts.

Industry Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, construction project lifecycles, and tendering systems.
  • Familiarity with construction materials, tools, and technology solutions is highly advantageous.

Certifications (Optional):

  • Sales certifications such as Certified Professional Sales Person (CPSP) or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and procurement tools (e.g., SAP, Procore).
