Oversee the daily operations of the store, ensuring smooth functioning and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandise display to optimise sales and minimise losses.
Implement and maintain loss prevention and safety protocols to protect assets, staff, and customers.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and store licensing requirements.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for timely deliveries and resolve any supply chain issues.
Administrative Oversight:
Manage oversight of all administrative functions, including scheduling, payroll processing, budgeting, and expense tracking.
Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, cash handling, and staff performance metrics.
Prepare and present regular reports on store performance, sales trends, and operational issues to senior management.
Have oversight in handling store correspondence and liaise with external agencies, landlords, and service providers.
Sales & Customer Service Management:
Drive sales growth through excellent customer service, upselling, and promotional activities.
Set clear sales targets and KPIs for the team and monitor performance regularly.
Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed store revenue goals.
Handle escalated customer complaints and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Organize loyalty programs, events, and in-store promotions to attract and retain customers.
Marketing & Brand Development:
Develop and implement local marketing strategies, including social media campaigns, community outreach, and partnerships with schools or parenting groups.
Collaborate with marketing teams to create engaging promotional materials and campaigns tailored to the target audience.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform merchandising and marketing decisions.
Manage in-store merchandising to align with brand standards and seasonal campaigns.
Team Leadership & Development:
Recruit, onboard, train, and develop store staff to maintain high levels of professionalism and productivity.
Conduct regular performance appraisals, coaching, and feedback sessions.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team culture focused on growth and excellence.
Manage staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours and special events.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Marketing, or related field preferred.
Minimum 3-5 years of retail management experience, ideally in children’s products, toys, apparel, or a related sector.
Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and motivate diverse teams.
Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
Demonstrated experience in sales, driving, marketing, and customer service excellence.
Proficient in inventory management, POS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and social media platforms.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Passion for children’s products and creating a family-friendly shopping environment.
Salary
N200,000 - N250,000 Monthly.
