Job Title: Collaborating, Learning and Adapting Specialist

Job Summary
Under the overall supervision of the Advisor, Collaborating, Learning and Adapting, the Collaborating, Learning and Adapting Specialist is responsible supporting the designing and implementing the Collaborating, Learning and Adapting (CLA) strategies aimed at contributing to a more systematic and intentional knowledge management for the THRIVE Project and by extension development outcomes for CCCRN.
The successful candidate is responsible for Identifying the project learning priorities, supporting cross-thematic learning initiatives, developing learning questions; gathering of and archiving project lessons learned, human interest stories including case studies, that can help inform future project activities.
The candidate will work closely different thematic units including the communication team to document learning products for reporting purposes and for dissemination among a wide range of stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
Support teams to identify learning needs and prioritize learning for the THRIVE project.
Support project team develop learning goals and plan, guided by learning priorities and document key technical and operational learnings and adaptations that emerge from implementing the THRIVE project activities.
Support identification of cross-thematic, context-specific learning questions that test and explore the THRIVE project theories of change or development hypotheses within available resources
Support the gathering of project lessons learned, experiences, success stories, case studies, and unresolved issues that can help inform future project activities.
Support learning initiatives that support staff to generate sufficient level of evidence required to address key areas of uncertainty and inform specific program design or implementation decisions
Conduct CLA training for CSO staff and volunteers to enhance their capacity to generate success stories, case studies, and other learning products in line with the CCCRN guidelines for documenting and sharing of learning materials.
Develop and regularly update the project stakeholders’ directory, manage project issue log and cascade the issues with responsible CCCRN THRIVE project staff in a timely manner.
Candidate will ensure that products and services from staffs and her vendors meets the CCCRN meets minimum quality standards at all levels.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community feedback and response mechanisms
Ensure proper archiving of project documents and support to the build of an “institutional memory.”
With guidance from CLA Advisor, Craft compelling communication products highlighting the key learnings, including abstracts, project/policy briefs, data-informed recommendations, and calls to action for contribution to global body of knowledge
Ensure documentation is evidence-based and addresses common myths and misconceptions about the project.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Development or related field
At least 5 years of professional experience in implementation science and or operations research or publication in local or international journals according to standards (abstracts, blogs, etc.).
Experience working with NGO implementing USAID funds and conversant with the use of MS Suites (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
