Job Title: Car Maintenance Officer

Description
We are looking for a Car Maintenance Officer to join our team and ensure the optimal performance, safety, and reliability of our vehicle fleet.
The Car Maintenance Officer will be responsible for coordinating regular maintenance schedules, overseeing repairs, and ensuring all vehicles comply with safety and regulatory standards.
This role requires a strong understanding of automotive systems, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
The ideal candidate will have experience in vehicle maintenance, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with drivers, mechanics, and management. Key duties include scheduling routine inspections, diagnosing mechanical issues, maintaining accurate service records, and ensuring timely repairs.
The Car Maintenance Officer will also be responsible for sourcing parts, managing maintenance budgets, and recommending improvements to maintenance procedures.
Strong communication skills are essential, as the role involves liaising with external service providers and internal stakeholders.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving, a commitment to safety, and a passion for maintaining high standards of vehicle care.

Responsibilities
Schedule and coordinate regular vehicle maintenance and inspections
Oversee and manage vehicle repair processes
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs
Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
Diagnose mechanical issues and recommend solutions
Source and manage automotive parts and supplies
Monitor maintenance budgets and control costs
Liaise with drivers, mechanics, and external service providers
Implement and improve maintenance procedures
Report on fleet condition and maintenance activities
Respond promptly to emergency repair needs
Train staff on basic vehicle care and safety protocols.
Requirements
Proven experience in vehicle maintenance or automotive repair
Strong knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostics
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and commitment to safety
Familiarity with maintenance management software is a plus
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid driver’s license
Problem-solving skills and proactive attitude
Ability to interpret technical manuals and diagrams
Physical ability to inspect vehicles and perform minor repairs.
