Job Summary

• Our client presently seeks to recruit strategic and result-oriented Regional Business Development Manager to lead and drive business growth across the South East region of Nigeria.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for market expansion, revenue growth, key account management and regional team leadership.
• This role requires a deep understanding of the local market, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive strategic initiatives that align with company goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the regional business development strategy to achieve sales and growth targets.
• Identify and pursue new market opportunities, partnerships, and client acquisition initiatives across the South East region.
• Manage, mentor, and coordinate state-level business development managers and field teams.
• Monitor and analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to inform regional strategy.
• Oversee the performance of sales agents or partner networks and ensure efficient execution of field activities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, local authorities, and community stakeholders.
• Prepare regular reports and performance dashboards for senior management, highlighting achievements, risks, and market feedback.
• Collaborate with marketing, operations, product, and finance teams to tailor solutions for the regional market.
• Ensure compliance with operational, financial, and legal standards in all regional activities.
• Represent the company at regional trade shows, events, and industry forums.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field; an MBA is an added advantage.
• 6 - 8 years' progressive experience in sales, business development, or regional management, preferably within the South East.
• Strong experience in POS terminal transactions, merchant and agency banking.
• Must have at least 500 agents, merchants and aggregators to convert within the first 2 weeks.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding regional sales targets and growing market share.
• Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Solid knowledge of the socio-economic and commercial landscape of the South East.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools
• Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
• Must live in the South-East.

• A very high level of commercial awareness.
• Leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Attention to details.
• Fluency in Igbo is a strong advantage.
• Experience working in FINTECH, banking, sectors is desirable.

 Benefits

• Salary: N250,000 Monthly.
• Incentive: N500k monthly for meeting POS deployment target.
