Job Summary
The Raw Material Personnel is a critical role responsible for ensuring the seamless receipt, storage, issuance, and tracking of all raw materials used in production.
This position demands high levels of accuracy, organization, and physical stamina to support production schedules and inventory control processes.
The role involves close collaboration with the production, procurement, warehouse, and audit teams to maintain material integrity, reduce wastage, and enforce stock discipline.
This role is suited for a detail-focused individual eager to develop expertise in inventory management, ERP system utilization, and production support within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Receive and inspect raw materials shipments to verify quantity and quality against purchase orders.
Store raw materials safely and systematically in designated areas to maintain organization and prevent damage.
Issue raw materials to production lines based on approved work orders and requisitions.
Update and reconcile inventory records using the ERP system (e.g., ODDO) to ensure accuracy.
Conduct regular cycle counts and support monthly and quarterly physical stock audits.
Monitor stock for discrepancies, damages, and expiry; report issues promptly to management.
Collaborate with production and procurement teams to forecast material requirements and avoid stock outs.
Assist with documentation, reporting, and compliance with company policies and safety standards.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
Requirements
Candidates should possess an OND or HND in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
1–2 years of experience in warehouse, inventory control, or production support roles.
Familiarity with ERP systems (preferably ODDO) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
Physically fit and able to carry out material handling tasks.
Reliable, organized, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
