Job Summary
The purpose of this role is to lead and manage the strategic direction of the MSME acquiring services within Inclusion.
The role, which is responsible for MSME (including Agents) from on-boarding to transactions to basic issue resolution, combines sales, partnerships, field operations and leadership.
It is critical for Inclusio to grow its presence and value proposition within the segment, to deliver seamless and scalable services to drive sustainable growth, revenue and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Execution:
Develop and execute strategies to acquire new MSME customers for the company’s payment processing and financial services.
Drive the expansion of the MSME portfolio through effective go-to-market strategies and sales tactics.
Identify market opportunities, customer needs, and emerging trends to co-create and deploy tailored solutions for MSMEs.
Business Development & Client Acquisition:
Identify, target, and develop new business opportunities with MSMEs across various sectors, focusing on expanding the customer base.
Establish and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including MSME owners, industry partners, and channel partners.
Act as the primary point of contact for key MSME accounts.
Product & Service Innovation:
Work closely with the product-led Business Development teams to ensure that MSME-acquiring products are aligned with customer needs and market demands.
Oversee the adaptation and deployment of products or services (e.g., point-of-sale solutions, Pay With Transfer, Bill Payments, etc) for MSME.
Provide feedback from customers to help shape the product roadmap and improve customer satisfaction.
Operational Excellence & Risk Management:
Drive the definition of the operational processes for MSME acquiring, ensuring smooth on-boarding, transactions, and customer experience.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and policies specific to the MSME segment and payments processing.
Monitor and contribute towards the mitigation of risks related to payment fraud, customer defaults, and financial security for MSMEs.
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead and mentor a team of Regional account managers, Field sales representatives (FIP), and Business Support staff focused on the MSME segment.
Set performance metrics and goals for the team and drive a culture of high performance and customer-centricity.
Foster collaboration across teams such as sales, marketing, product, technology, and field operations to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Identify and allocate relevant training and development needs to the team to improve capability.
Market Analysis & Reporting:
Drive market analysis to understand MSME pain points, needs, and challenges, to stay ahead of competition.
Drive development reports and performance dashboards to track progress toward goals, including revenue, customer acquisition, and retention.
Collaboration with External Partners:
Identify potential strategic partnerships that will help in scaling MSME-acquiring solutions and increasing market reach.
Collaborate with the relevant stakeholders and vendors to build winning products for the business segment.
Education
General Education:
University (First degree)/ HND, an MBA/MSC would be an added advantage.
General Experience:
8+ years in payments, financial services, with a significant portion spent in BD & sales, with a minimum of 4 years at a managerial level.
