Job Title: Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QSHE) Officer
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Responsibilities
Effective Management:
Communicates information on the QHSE Management System throughout the organisation and promotes HSE awareness through various communication channels this to be done by induction, training, campaigns, quizzes etc
Prepare QHSE documentation for clients/projects as per the requirements and assisting in compilation of QHSE aspect of bids in consultation with the BD / Operations team.
Undertake QHSE inspections internally and with third parties (contractors) as per the approved inspection program of the company by actively participating in internal audit. Follows up on the preventive and / or corrective actions identified during the inspections and monitors the timely closing of the actions in coordination with other departments.
Perform daily walk throughs in HCUE facilities and / or in HCUE clients’ premises to monitor and promote a safe workplace by using prepared checklist and report all non-conformance.
Inspection of incoming raw / central store equipment (Eleme).
Training and Development:
Actively participates in monthly HSE meeting for all employees.
Relationship Management:
Implements and encourages the behavioral based safety culture in the organization through safe job observations.
Status Reporting:
Record QHSE key performance indicators on a monthly basis and issue reports as necessary. Suggest and advise changes to ensure continuous improvement on any additional effective KPIs to be added in the system as part of continual improvement.
Actively participate in the HSE incident investigations and prepare required reports in consultation with management.
Compile statistics and write reports to QHSE Manager.
Monitoring:
Ensure that PPE’s is provided and used by staff.
Identify potential hazards and ways of reducing risk.
Qualifications & Experience
HND / B.Sc Degree in Engineering, Food Science Tech or Environmental Sciences
At least 5 years working with international HSE standards, codes and practices including Nigerian HSE experience
Excellent business acumen Good knowledge of Food safety.
General knowledge of Health safety and environment in catering industry.
Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment.
Excellent interpersonal and conflict handling skills.
Communicate accurately, correctly, timely, effectively and in an appropriate manner using email, documentation and verbally.
Excellent report writing skills with attention to detail, correctness and accuracy with good use of English and technical terminology.

Salary
N200,000 - N250,000 Monthly.
