We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Front Desk Officer

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • A Front Desk Officer in a fundraising, equity investment, and venture capital company handles general administrative duties, manages the front desk, greets visitors, and answers inquiries.He/she will also assist with scheduling, mail handling, and maintaining a professional office environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reception and Guest Services: Greet visitors, clients, and investors, ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere.
  • Communication: Answer and direct phone calls, handle inquiries, and manage email communication.
  • Administrative Support: Schedule appointments, maintain calendars, manage office supplies, and assist with filing and data entry.
  • Mail and Delivery Management: Receive, sort, and distribute mail, packages, and deliveries.
  • Office Maintenance: Ensure the front desk and reception area are clean, organized, and presentable.
  • Event Support: Assist with logistical support for company events and meetings.

Additional Responsibilities in an Investment Setting:

  • Information Dissemination: Provide information about the company's investment strategies, portfolio, and services to visitors and callers.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information related to investments and clients.
  • Coordination: Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and efficient communication.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a professional demeanour and represent the company in a positive light.

Qualifications
Education:

  • A minimum of OND, HND, or Bachelor’s degreein Business Administration, Public Administration, Mass Communication, or any related field.
  • Additional training in customer service, reception management, or office administration is an added advantage.

Professional Experience:

  • 1–3 years of experience in a front desk, receptionist, or administrative support role.
  • Experience in customer-facing positions within a corporate, hospitality, or service environment is highly valued.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite(Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with office equipment(printers, copiers, multi-line phone systems).
  • Experience with scheduling software, CRM systems, or front desk management tools is a plus.

Core Competencies:

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Clear and professional verbal and written communication.
  • Customer Service Orientation: Courteous, helpful, and responsive in dealing with clients, visitors, and staff.
  • Organisational Skills: Ability to multitask, manage front desk duties, and keep the reception area organized.
  • Attention to Detail: Accuracy in taking messages, scheduling, and handling inquiries.
  • Time Management: Punctual and capable of managing front desk tasks efficiently.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to handle unexpected situations and inquiries calmly and efficiently.

  • Friendly and approachable demeanour.
  • Discreet and trustworthy, especially when handling sensitive or confidential information.
  • Adaptable and calm under pressure, especially during busy periods.

Salary
N100,000 Monthly.
