Wahala No Dey Finish - Come Chop is a food content brand that focuses on creating engaging video content and high-quality visuals. They are active on platforms like YouTube and Facebook, showcasing food-related challenges and culinary showdowns, aiming to build an active and positive online community around their unique brand identity in the food content industry.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Content Creator

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities
Content Strategy and Planning:

• Collaborate with the team to develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy aligned with the brand's vision, tone, and values.
• Contribute to brainstorming sessions, bringing fresh and innovative ideas for video concepts, visual storytelling, and engaging content formats.
• Assist in planning and maintaining a content calendar, ensuring a consistent flow of high-quality content.

Video Production and Editing:

• Lead the end-to-end production of video content, including conceptualization, scripting, shooting, and post-production.
• Operate video and photography equipment to capture high-quality footage and images.
• Edit raw video footage into compelling narratives, incorporating graphics, music, and sound effects to enhance viewer experience.
• Design and create eye-catching thumbnails and visual assets for videos and other content.
• Ensure all video and visual content adheres to brand guidelines and maintains a consistent aesthetic.

Content Optimization and Distribution:

• Optimize video content for various platforms, including YouTube, Instagram, and other relevant social media channels.
• Implement SEO best practices for video titles, descriptions, and tags to maximize discoverability and reach.
• Collaborate with the Social Media Manager to ensure seamless integration of content across all platforms.

Visual Storytelling and Brand Enhancement:

• Develop creative ways to tell stories through visual media, capturing the essence of the food content and brand message.
• Continuously explore new visual trends and techniques to keep our content fresh, innovative, and competitive.
• Maintain a strong understanding of our target audience's preferences and tailor content to maximize engagement.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience as a Content Creator, Video Producer, or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing video production and editing skills.
• Demonstrable expertise in shooting and editing video content, with proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
• Strong understanding of visual storytelling principles and an eye for aesthetics.
• Familiarity with various social media platforms and their content requirements (especially YouTube and Instagram).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Passion for food content and a desire to contribute to a growing brand.
