Job Title: Senior Financial Accountant

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos 
Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role

• The Senior Financial Accountant will work closely with the CFO to manage and improve the company’s financial health.
• This role requires strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset to support decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Oversee all general ledger activities and ensure timely reconciliations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Ensure compliance with all tax, regulatory, and statutory requirements.
• Manage internal and external audits, including liaising with auditors and preparing audit documentation.
• Monitor cash flow, expenses, and financial performance, providing actionable insights.
• Assist in developing and maintaining internal controls, financial policies, and procedures.
• Provide support for financial analysis on key business initiatives and investments.
• Collaborate with other departments to improve financial processes and reporting.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• ICAN, ACA, or ACCA certification is required.
• Minimum of 7–8 years of relevant experience, preferably in a high-growth or tech-driven environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local tax laws.
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics) and Excel.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
