Job Title: National Sales Manager (NSM)

Job Description
The National Sales Manager (NSM) is responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth across all regions in the country.
The NSM oversees regional sales managers, builds and manages a high-performing sales team, identifies new business opportunities, maintains key customer relationships, and ensures alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute national sales strategies aligned with company objectives.
Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team to achieve or exceed sales targets.
Monitor and analyze sales performance, trends, and market conditions.
Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories.
Conduct regular reviews with regional sales managers and provide support to resolve operational or customer issues.
Expand market presence by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and partnerships.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
Collaborate with marketing, product development, finance, and supply chain teams to support sales objectives.
Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is would be desired.
Experience:
Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive experience in sales, including at least 3–5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
Experience in leading regional or national sales teams.
Industry-specific experience (e.g., FMCG prefered) may be required depending on the company.
Required Skills:
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
Proven ability to develop strategic plans and execute them effectively.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in CRM software, sales analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong understanding of market dynamics, customer behavior, and sales processes.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Willingness to travel extensively across regions.

Ability to work independently and make strategic decisions.
Strong network and understanding of local/regional markets.
Fluency in English; proficiency in local languages is an advantage.

N600,000 - N800,000 / Month
