The Company produces high-quality Day-Old Chicks and Point of Cage Pullets. Over the years, we have remained focused on our main objective to produce high quality chicks, in a highly hygienic environment leveraging innovative solutions grounded in Research and Development.
Responsible for overseeing, leading, and managing a multi-disciplinary team including Legal and Company Secretariat, Business Development / Communication, Customer Satisfaction, Information Technology, and Business Intelligence units that enable Amo to meet its objectives.
Provides timely, expert, and strategic information and advice to the Group Managing Director, Managing/ Executive Directors, and other senior management team to facilitate effective and informed decisions that will drive business growth, improve operational efficiency, and enhance overall service delivery, and success of the organization.
Key Accountabilities
Lead the strategic direction, planning, decision-making, and overall performance of the Corporate Services Department including Legal and Company Secretariat, Business Development / Corporate Communication, Customer Satisfaction, Information Technology, and Business Intelligence units to ensure corporate services align with business needs and organizational objectives.
Build and develop collaborative relationships to partner with a range of stakeholders including industry teams and manage relationships effectively to balance conflicting priorities and influence decisions regarding business imperatives.
Direct the delivery of high-quality strategic reporting and analysis to ensure the key strategic and operational decisions of Amo are informed by high-quality information and to meet reporting requirements associated with the role.
Oversee the development of partnering with members of Amo’s senior executive team to identify targeted strategies and programs aligned to current and future business needs.
Lead the communications function to plan and develop strategic internal and external communications, projects, and services to deliver best practice and consistency and enhance the reputation of Amo.
Participate as a member of the Senior Management Team and contribute to organizational decision-making, planning, and continual improvement to efficiently and effectively deliver programs that support organizational priorities.
Determine optimal models of service delivery and implement improvements in the context of diverse internal and external stakeholder expectations.
Identify emerging issues/risks related to operational or service issues identify their implications and propose solutions
Information Technology:
Serve as Amo’s senior leader for digital and technology strategy development and related operations, including information technology selection and development, operational performance, risk management,
Lead IT financial management, including defining the budget, tracking the budget, and making changes throughout the fiscal year.
Legal and Company Secretariat:
Provide strategic legal guidance to the senior management team and other employees, and oversee all legal matters, including contracts, litigation, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance.
Manage relationships and all issues relating to the Board of Directors and Shareholders, including convening Board, Committee, and General Meetings.
Business Development / Communication:
Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth and enhance Amo's market position by proactively looking for new business opportunities and market expansion while cultivating relationships with clients and stakeholders and establishing strategic partnerships.
Oversee the effective development and delivery of Amo's communications strategy, by creating stakeholder engagement through social media platforms, website, newsletters, publications, and events. - Press and media inquiries.
Customer Satisfaction:
Ensure that customers are satisfied with Amo's product and service, by listening to and understanding their challenges and implementing strategies to improve satisfaction and retention.
Monitor and analyze customer feedback and metrics to identify areas for improvement
Business Intelligence:
Develop a BI strategy and execution roadmap to support business objectives
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging business intelligence to drive business growth, efficiency, controls, and innovation.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in any related disciplines.
A postgraduate degree and relevant certifications are required.
Minimum of twelve (12) years of relevant work experience with at least 5 years in a senior managerial role.
Experience in the Poultry Agri-business industry will be an added advantage.
