The Incorporated Trustees of Widows and Orphans Empowerment Organization [hereinafter referred to as “Widows and Orphans Empowerment Organization (WEWE)”] is a women-led, local not-for-profit Non-Governmental Organization (NGO). This recruitment aims to identify staff who will work with WEWE to achieve its strategic objective of preventing and caring for survivors of Gender-Based Violence (GBV).
WEWE’s strategic objective for Gender-Based Violence (GBV) is to eradicate all forms of violence and discrimination based on gender. This involves implementing comprehensive interventions to prevent, respond to, and address GBV. The objective aims to create safe spaces, provide support services for survivors, raise awareness about GBV, and engage communities in fostering a culture of gender-sensitive behavior.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Videographer / Photographer
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Contract
Key Deliverables
S/he will conduct a brief site visit or virtual walk-through to assess lighting, angles, and movement flow.
S/he will prepare and test all necessary equipment (cameras, microphones, lighting, batteries, storage devices, etc.).
S/he will coordinate the photo session of guests, dignitaries, and key stakeholders.
S/he will capture the keynote speeches, presentations, and the official unveiling moment.
S/he will take the group photos with guests, speakers, and participants.
S/he will capture candid and emotional moments that highlight the theme of the project.
S/he will record short interviews with organizers, speakers, or attendees
S/he will deliver a short highlight video (2–4 minutes) summarizing the event.
S/he will submit deliverables no later than 3 working days after the event.
S/he will ensure that the audiovisuals and other images reflect dignity, sensitivity, and respect, especially given the subject of gender-based violence.
S/he will ensure inclusive and respectful representation of all attendees.
Any other assigned duties from the supervisor
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma or its equivalent in English, Linguistics, Mass Communication, Journalism or any social science-related fields.
Additional certifications in communication, multimedia, or it equivalent will be added advantage
Applicants must have their own camera to perform the job.
Two samples of video editing work done.
At least two professional references.

Required Experience:
S/he must have experience in taking and editing “still” pictures, using “still” pictures to create presentations, video, and editing, developing short videos that can be posted on social media.
S/he must have experience in Live Streaming Video and Audio in real-time.
S/he must have previous experience in taking video shoots with a phone or camera and developing those videos into stories that can be posted on social media handles.
Extremely strong computer skills, with knowledge of relevant publishing software, such as but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), Desktop Publishing (Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, PDF, Illustrator, InDesign, CorelDraw, and Canva).
Experience in Media Production, Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Mailchimp, Google Forms, and Instagram).
Extremely strong in written and oral English language with research writing skills.
Superior oral and written communication skills with an emphasis on creative approaches, attention to detail, and efficient delivery methods.
