Zion Empowerment Arena for the Needy Initiative (ZEANI) is a Non-Profit Institution (NPI) /Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO). ZEANI signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the University of Nigeria, Nsukka on 22nd February2024. ZEANI has over fifty (50) partners that make our job easier. ZEANIspecializesin Development of Research Results for Technology off-take, Transfer and commercialisation.

Our Community Development Service Education (CDSE) programme is regulated by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), approved by the Federal and Enugu State Ministries of Education to provide Scholarships and Non-Scholarships programmes in Technical, Vocational Education & Training (TVET) at Senior Secondary and Tertiary Education. Our Consultancy Services in Research & Development (R&D) include: Construction of TVET laboratories, Free Project Topics for researchers, Product/prototype Development, Free Project follow-up, Free Career Guidance & Counselling.

On behalf of ZEANI board of trustees, the management and partners supporting ZEANI humanitarian work / interventions, we hereby announce our National Scholarship Award (NSA) for the 2025/2026Academic and Apprenticeship Session. Trades and Qualifications in pursuit of this call are:

• Modular Trade Certificate (MTC): Fishery Craft, Electrical Installation & Maintenance, Electronics, Computer Craft, Plant Service and Maintenance, Furniture Making, Garment Making and Motor Mechanic Work.
• Advanced National Technical Certificate/Advanced National Business Certificate (ANTC/ANBC): Fishery Craft, Electrical Installation & Maintenance, Motor Mechanic Work, Furniture Making, Computer Craft, Electronics Works and Garment Making
• National Technical Certificate/National Business Certificate (NTC/NBC): Fishery Craft, Electrical Installation & Maintenance, Motor Mechanic Work, Furniture Making, Computer Craft, Electronics Works and Garment Making.

Academic ranking of all the Trades and Qualifications in pursuit of this call is at the level of Senior Secondary and Tertiary Education

This Scholarship award is for:

• Those who want to earn a living by providing services to customers during and after training
• Those who want to avoid the pain of Unemployment and under-employment via Apprenticeship Education
• Those who want to study Medicine, Business Management, Agriculture, Engineering, Science and Technology with the prospect of earning a university Degree and National Skill Qualifications
• Those in need of Apprenticeship Education
• Those who have or haven't completed Junior and senior secondary education but want to acquire hands-on skills for self or public sector employment.
• Those transferring from conventional secondary schools, such as grammar schools
• Those who want to further their education with the qualification earned
• Those who want to gain admission into the first year (100 level) and second year (200 level) in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and other Universities of their choice
• Those who want to work with the skills and qualifications earned
• Those who previously applied for admission in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and other Universities but were not enrolled
• Technicians, Artisans and Craft persons operating without a licence
• Graduates of tertiary institutions seeking Job placement opportunities and prospective retirees who want to work with the skills and qualifications earned

Requirements

• Must be a Nigerian citizen not below 16 years of Age
• Must be able to take care of personal expenses such as feeding, transportation, accommodation, medicals, clothing, among others.
• Graduates of tertiary institutions seeking for Jobs and prospective retirees should apply for the Modular Trade Certificate (MTC)

Duration

• One year of academic and pure Onsite Apprenticeship Education

Value of the Scholarship Award

• The scholarship covers free application, free certification examsand free full tuition fee for the duration of the programme.
